...and no, I'm really not going into detail of what I've been doing because there was Spring Break in New York with Steph and then Rimouski then I went to Montreal to see Po' Girl and JT and it was the St Patrick's Day parade and then finally last weekend I actually stayed in RDL. It was also Vicky's birthday.
Just New York took up about 12 pages in my note book. Suffice to say I will be going back.
Really the big news is that Ella is in Vancouver! We're connected by land! And there was something else... oh yeah, Mum and Dad are flying out to Quebec City on TUESDAY! We've got a week based in the big QC then with my timetable I'm thinking they'll have a couple of days in RDL (and possibly meet all the people I know, which won't take that long) before we head up the St Lawrence river for the weekend. Then I've suggested they have an explore of New Brunswick - head somewhere Anglophone was my thinking.
The big thing at the moment is going to a cabane à sucre or "sugar shack" - haven't been yet (maybe tomorrow!) but we had a 4 à 7 at school with the tire which is SO GOOD. And there was a cabane à sucre lunch on Thursday* with very traditional fare including ham in maple syrup and cipaille (apparently a corruption of the English "sea pie" however I like to say "See pie? Eat pie." I'm cool.)
*Was scheduled for Wednesday but school was closed that day because of the snowstorm. Yes, it is the end of March.
